hand on hip

Where could she have learned that? My 19 month old toddler is walking around with her little hand placed perfectly on her hip. I do that I’m sure. It’s fun to see what they do that mimics you, and also terrifying.

the manhole cover

Saturday Kelly and I went to confession. I always go first, say my penance, and then take Cora around the church or outside if it is warm.
Outside we went. She wanted to run around the sidewalks that surrond the west side of the church, and I was too tired to make [...]

yesterday’s adventure

Was it crazy to drive 11 hours in one day?
To quote my favorite Dr. Suess line: “Ask me tomorrow but not today.”
We decided yesterday morning after mass that we would like to go to Ikea in Minneapolis. That is the closest Ikea to where we live and it is a 5 & [...]

Don’t eat while reading:

how the other half lives

It turns out that Saturday morning at our hotel (the Hilton), we got a checkout slip under our door. Fair enough, Saturday night was booked under a different credit card so I could see how they thought we were checking out. So I called downstairs to find out what was going on. [...]

the dinner

The bar was as open as I was pregnant, one could say “a lot” for both of us.
My plate cost us $95 and Kelly thought it was going to be a buffet. I could only laugh at the thought of a $95 buffet and told him I doubted it but we’d have to wait [...]
