I love to document things. Partly because it helps me remember (I have a terrible memory) and partly because it sorts things out for me, makes sense of the world if you will.
So when I came across this post on Ali Edwards blog (originally from The Simple Woman’s Day Book), I was instantly smitten.
So here is mine (I did it the other day when I had a free moment):
FOR TODAY
June 22, 2009
Outside my window…is the heat. over 100 degrees heat index today.
I am thinking…about the chocolate cheesecake in my refrigerator that I want to eat.
I am thankful for..my house. my family. and both together.
From the kitchen…pb&jelly and grilled cheese. back to basics.
I am wearing…an old(ish) maxi dress, so airy and comfortable.
I am creating…memories.
I am going…to the craft store this week.
I am reading…in the middle of about 10 books, I should list them sometime.
I am hoping…that it cools off slightly. and that I can remember to have the husband get the baby pool down from the garage.
I am hearing…sweet naptime silence.
Around the house…there is laundry piled for folding and cleaning from camping going on.
One of my favorite things…sweet summer mornings.
A few plans for the rest of the week…preschool ‘camp’, mom coming up (!), natural birth educators meetups, and popsicles and swimming of course.
A picture to share…

this sweet girl has a smile that lights up the room and we’ve really been enjoying her.
