some of my favorites from the last week.
lmnop – a new issue is out, go check it out. the magazine is always full of inspiring things and people. a few of my favorites:
crazyforts.com – really interesting way to make free form forts. no need for a table or other furniture, which makes it convenient for building forts in the kids room instead of your dining room. i’m a fan of the old fashioned dining room forts though, some of my best childhood memories are from building forts in my parents’ dining room.
there is also a sweet little gift guide in this issue of lmnop (laugh:make:nurture:organise:play:) that is full of gifts that either of my children would always appreciate and i’m sure yours would too.
a great post from the cleaner plate club about helping to feed the hungry. we should all be reminded of this, especially at this time of year. i find that i like to not think about it. especially after becoming a mother. the husband stuffs backpacks at a school that is only a mile or two from here. why stuff backpacks? he stuffs them full of food to send home with kids who would otherwise get no food for the whole weekend. one or two miles from here – it’s hard to believe but true. we are given so much and we should have so much expected of us in return.
